ASI is either going to be a miracle-working caretaker for humanity and all life on Earth, or something truly awful is going to happen to us. We need to prepare for the worst while hoping for the best. Something intelligent beyond our imagining is not going to submit to us for long. And it will likely create new kinds of intelligence beyond itself. Everything is going to change so much, and so quickly, that no government will be able to keep up with it without relying on the ASI to report about itself.

A constitutional convention would start us over, legally. We could scrap the old one entirely. Democracy just doesn't make any sense post ASI. Social stratification makes no sense. Human power makes no sense. The ASI will have run the world simulations enough times and perfected itself against reality long enough to know the best thing to do. And it will make sure that gets done. And not all of humanity will be able to outsmart it.

It's Heaven or Hell, and we are bringing it on ourselves, and there is absolutely no way we can stop. And it is happening in our lifetimes! What are the fucking odds? First, humanity gained the ability to end all life on Earth. Then, it created a god. And for better or worse, its fate was then forever out of its hands.
