I've always loved singing so when I was 15 my parents decided to enroll me in weekly lessons. Everything was going great for the first months but then I started noticing that everytime I would leave my lessons my throat hurt really bad. I told my teacher about this and she would just brush it off and say something along the lines of "huh, that's weird, that shouldn't be happening"
So basically, I got stuck in this loop that lasted like 2 months where I would go to my class, leave feeling really bad, get better over the week, go to my class again and leave feeling worse than ever, to the point where talking would hurt.
Finally I decided to stop going and I just thought that if I let my voice rest and drank water, everything would return to normal but it didnt. Now I'm 16 and cant talk for long periods or sing without feeling extremely tired and my throat hurting, its been like this for half a year. I'm so afraid that I've permanently fucked up my vocal chords. I've thought about going to vocal therapy ?? but honestly I dont know what to do anymore ðŸ˜
