Hey guys. I've been working as a professional singer for a while now, and the more time I get with my craft the more I realize how valuable it would be to improve my sightsinging abilities. I spent the summer practicing a minimum of a half hour a day by reading through a sightsinging book on solfege syllables, and slowly raising the tempo on my metronome until I could sing each melody at the indicated tempo. While I think this method was actually pretty helpful, I'm not sure if it's really the ideal use of my time for this task.
Anyone on here a very strong sight-singer? What do you think about the above method? Any tips?
