I had poor intonation and i stopped singing and started practicing scales. I was also raising my larynx a lot and to correct it i started using A2 instead of middle C for scales practice. The beginning days i was vocalizing the notes like do re mi, but then i read that to release throat tension i should him as that trains the body to produce the note with less air pressure and muscle involvement. It's been 20 days since and i am not able to hum or talk more than 5 mins without experiencing fatigue / pain / scratchiness or muscle pull in my throat. Also at times my throat gets completely dry, and i suspect that maybe the weather is to blame ( its 40C now) or maybe my vocal chords are growing? ( i mean puberty, etc - i am a late bloomer). I have absolutely no idea as in what is going on with my voice, I've never had breathing issues before but lately breathing seems to be the problem.
I used to sing with less chord closure and raised larynx, so is the fallback to normal or natural causing problems?
