That’s not very kind of you to say. I completely disagree. This is how my voice likes to sit when I sing.. it just comes naturally when I start singing. I’ve actually always been pretty self conscious about it because I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.. but ya know what? It’s mine and it’s my form of self expression and healing.
I thought about giving this more the time of day, but I realize that you probably aren’t qualified to give me any advice and I won’t take your criticism to heart. Your inference about me is wrong, but you seem to think you know all about me and my singing after watching one singular video. Instead of some actual constructive criticism, you decided to be mean and make your assumptions.. I guess you have nothing better to do with your time?

I definitely do not mind constructive criticism. If you were initially trying to help me in your first comment, you would have given me some advice and not made me feel terribly insecure (especially with something as vulnerable as singing). With that said, I have not gone to a vocal coach to discuss my voice. AW along with many other artists were an influence on me because I knew that my vocal style resonated with theirs. Maybe it’s not completely identical (and I wouldn’t want it to be.. and perhaps if this wasn’t an AW song you wouldn’t have said i was imitating her), but I know that it is in the range of how I sing.. and with a more proper technique and adjustment from a vocal coach, perhaps i could find my more appropriate vocal style that allows my vowels to be more open as you say.
