For those who don't know, The Sims 2 used to have a fledgling machinima / movie creation scene, alongside the exchange having stories that you could read. So much so there was contests and "awards" given out to the "best" movies in each category, or overall, I don't really remember. But I loved the Sims so much that I spend days looking through the Sims 2's website for these videos. I still have some old ones on my old "favorited" playlist on YouTube, but some are completely lost.

The one I remember the most is 100% lost media, but it did win an award at some point (either fan-given or by Maxis themselves, I'm not entirely sure!), I just can't find it, I tried describing it to people on Reddit over the years, no dice. If you remember it let me know, I'd love to see this old machinima that is probably really bad haha

Okay so! This is the one I remember

The machinima begins with two roommates, one of the sims is jealous that his roommate is more successful in the things he wants, primarily love. So he's watching television and he sees a commercial for this soda (or drink?) that supposedly gives exactly what he wants, so he drinks it, but he becomes sick(?), and he quickly runs out of his house, and he gets hit by a car, and it's this girl, and I think they both fall in love? That's all I remember haha, but it existed!

They did carry this over slightly for the Sims 3 and their website, but by 2010, this form of media was pretty much on it's way out, at least popularity wise. There's probably a few that people remember for The Sims 3. But let me know if any of you guys remember any old movies from this era! I'd love to reminiscence!
