This is at least partially me simply throwing out my thoughts so please bear that in mind however I'd like to gauge both opinion on, and interest in collaboration with, my WIP challenge "Clowns To The Left Of Me, Jokers To The Right"
I've been away from S2 for some time so i'm not as immediately familiar with game mechanics as I once was and so far have the following outlined:
Inspired by the I'm Surrounded By Idiots' challenge by DylanTK, which I wanted to play but which did not fit my game set up and I could not find any instance of it being properly updated for S2 play. It may be applied to an Asylum, Big Brother, ISBI, Orphanage, Retirement Home, or indeed any other scenario where you have a household full of Sims but only control one of them.
Generate a single Adult Sim, using standard Prosperity Style or by any means you desire. They should be completely standard, i.e. no additional skills or slots nor cheats. exploits or hacks should be used during set up.
Your Caregiver Sim may NOT leave the lot while under your direct control, though they are allowed to do so when actively playing another household or during cut scenes, etc.
Your Caregiver Sim, may find love, marry and even have a family however said family MUST reside in a seperate household, with all the pros and cons this brings.
You should keep track of the salary ($TBD) paid to the Caregiver and utilise whatever means necessary to ensure expenses are paid without the Caregiver being out of pocket*
*My specific requirement and reason for creating this challenge was that I had a Retirement Home with X number of Elder Sims whom were allowed to live out their days autonomously, with minimal interference from me. There was a cost involved to move to the Retirement Home and it was from these funds that utility bills and salary were covered.
Your goal in this challenge is to establish a legacy where care-giving duties are passed down through as many generations as possible. It is advisable that the household is played as part of a rotation, otherwise your Sim will have no viable heir to pass control to.
Points:
Successfully pass on the torch to the 5th generation. 50
Successfully pass on the torch to the 10th generation. 100
Successfully pass on the torch to the 15th generation. 250
Successfully pass on the torch to the 20th generation. 500
*Perm-Plat sims.
*Shrink Visits.
*Social Bunny Visits.
*Social Worker Visits.
*Accidental Deaths.
*Number of Special Tombstones Vs. Total Death Count.
