Rallysimfans, or RBR+?

There seem to be a lot of options for RBR, too many honestly, I don't even understand them all. What's the best way to play this one if I don't really care about online competition and only plan to play alone or time trial?
I currently have the Rallysimfans version installed, and it's enormous. Is this the best option for playing RBR today? And if I already have this one, is it worth checking out RBR 3.6?
And I keep seeing stuff about the HU plugins vs the CZ ones. What's the difference?
