Shifting Techniques Sim vs. Real World
Post Body

Can you more experienced members tell me how sim pedals compare with vehicle pedals? I'm specifically looking at how the various sets used for sim racing react to heel/toe shifts.

Breaking it down, I have not yet used any sim equipment. I will be starting from the bottom, meaning Logitech. I know a bit about this topic but only from real world experience.

Can you only apply those techniques to high end sets or can you do so, maybe to a lesser extent, on all pedals? I'd be very interested in specifics if possible. Maybe a progression chart or percentages or some kind of data showing the correlation for example between something like this:

  • Logitech
  • Logitech Mods
  • Thrustmaster
  • Fanatec
  • Ricmotech
  • Heusinkveld
  • Tilton
  • Others?

Thanks much and happy racing fellas!
