So, I don't know anything about them but from what I can tell, they are similar to what we used to call bass shakers. I was a bit of an audiophile in my youth and I can tell you that for sound systems, they were a novelty more than anything else. We installed them both in home stereos as well as in car audio applications. They were a poor substitute for proper bass and were installed mostly by guys who didn't either have the room or the inclination to install proper subwoofers.
That's the extent of my experience. Can you enlighten me on the real purpose of this newer technology and how well they achieve that purpose? Thanks in advance fellas!
