AC is the only simulator with street racing and open world to some degreee. All the result of modding.

Obviously, it's from the parameters not being confined to a single circuit for easier definition, as with cars not following set regulation or classes, along with no clear automobile sport to emulate, but it seems there's an obvious demand - people want street racing, even rouge, with a high level of realism as fidelity. Why have no developers touched it, it's hard for official sponsors in niche market? Do serious simracers look down on anything which isn't as legitimate?
