I’m traditionally an oval guy (iRacing), but I’ve been wanting to try right turns. Tried practicing TCR last night but I sucked. So I jumped in the GR86 at Tsukuba and wow, that’s a fun drive and a fun track! I found a decent enough pace to feel confident in a race, and I finished 4th.
It was cool enjoying another series along side my oval races last night. It was trippy knocking out 45 laps at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Xfinity car only to turn around and bang out 15min around a circuit in the GR86.
I think I’m gonna drive the 86 a bit more in the near future until I decide what route I want to go with my road racing career; GT4/GT3 -> GTP or IR-04 to F1.
If the community for IndyCar is big enough, I’d like to bring my oval skills there along side road racing.
