Is craving simplicity disillusionment?
Post Body

In my 20s I used to travel to the ocean and be in awe. I used to go hiking and be engulfed with majestic reverence. Now, I just got back from the ocean and all I felt was numbness. I went hiking in a beautiful forest and felt the same as I did in a grocery store. Is it age? I'm now in my 40s and everything is .. neutral to me. Have the endorphins worn out? Is this a good thing? I crave peace, a nice tea, good book. A nice conversation. Being anywhere majestic externally (nature included) no longer impresses me. Can anyone relate? Perhaps this is what happens with age?
