Parents keep asking why it is taking so long to finish a bachelors. Will graduate next year (6yrs). Feel like a burden and a failure. Take too many courses?! Don’t perform the best. Work and take courses?! Don’t perform the best. No work and courses?! Poor and broke. Unable to even pay for basic things. Embarrassing to ask parents for everything. Down right ridiculous. So severely depressed for 5 yrs now, my mind doesn’t function properly anymore. Done therapy and still on antidepressants. My brain feels like it is shrinking under the weight of the world. I feel nothing. Highly organized person but depression has taken so much from me. International student btw and can’t afford to take a ‘break’ again. Do like school a lot, just too severely depressed. How do you guys do this? How do you manage? Share some stories for inspiration.
