Can you replace the blade?

I'm having a really hard time cutting 111lb cardstock. I have the 2mm deep cut blade and the auto blade. I took the cap off the blades, but cannot figure out how to replace the actual blades. I tried pulling it out with pliers, but that just broke the blade tip. Is it even possible or am I SOL and just need to buy a whole new blade cartridge?
Also can anyone suggest settings for 111lb cardstock?
I have the cameo 3.
