Silent Hill 3 PC Bug where I can't pick up ammo anymore?

So I've been playing through the Silent Hill series and Silent Hill 3 on PC I've encountered some problems with. I can no longer pick up ammo and despite reinstalling the game the issue has not gone away. Any suggestions?
