If you're going into this remake thinking that it could be on the level of the original, or even better, forget it. Nothing can top what Team Silent was able to achieve in 2001, which was in my opinion just as catching lightning in a bottle.
The perfect tone, cast, soundtrack, monsters, ambient... there is no way in this world that could be remade, specially with how the game industry is at this moment.
But that doesn't mean that the remake will be bad. I saw some changes that I liked (such as the first scene where you get the radio) and others which I didn't like (such as James finding Angela and it looks like much different from what I'd prefer).
This remake is a new way to experience the game, not to do again what Team Silent has done in the past. That would be impossible.
Honestly, I am just glad that Silent Hill isn't abandonware anymore lmao. I just hope the game is actually good and has a meaningful way to impact us with this story, which is so dearly loved by fans. I loved the new gameplay trailer! Everyone looks so cool
