I have to thank my friend in middle school for getting me into Silent Hill. Big Resident Evil fan here and would always talk about it. One day a classmate of mine wanted to poke fun on how Resident Evil isnt even scary and Silent Hill is where Horror was at. Instead of being all “Rrrr youre wrong!” It peaked my curiosity so then when I had a chance to play it on PSP I was hooked.

Late at night, earphones plugged in, starting up Silent Hill 1.

I will never forget the fear of just the intro. Of chasing Cheryl and the alley turning dark. As you went looking more hellish. I stood in one spot afraid to advance cause of the eerie noises messing with my mind of what horror awaited me in the darkness. And then seeing a figure in barbed wire almost crucifies.

That’s what started my descent in the franchise and now a big fan of both series hah
