Annotated comments on Sika from around reddit
Post Body
- Response to "Daily Derivation #23" - monochrome: "kufiekui'ekai kei". There is no current equivalent to fie ("light/appearance of -"), kui might be rederived as rtai, 'e is now koni, kai changed meaning (with nothing for "just -"), and kei is now ci. This would now be (keeping fie) kufiertaikonici.
- Response to "How does your conlang handle hypothesis?": A quick note on how things in Sika are hypothetical by default. Also, "ha" and "f" are now ko and ca.
- Response to "Daily Derivation #39" - intermittent: "kukarkakerpi". Few differences, though I haven't decided what should replace "pi" ("time of -"). "hi" is also mentioned in the post, which is now ci, and <r> is no longer pronounced /ʃ/.
- Quick overview of Sika; only sample is sikas, which is up to date.
- Response to "Philosophy Challenge #1" - "I doubt, therefore I think, therefore I am.". Spacing is now the "alternate spacing" at the end.
- Response to "543rd Just used 5 minutes of your day" - "Thank god it's Friday!": "flaidei kurficas." Not explained in the post is how kurfi derives "good" in Sika: fi gives the tendency of something, and rfi goes back from a tendency to something which causes it. The extent to which something is "good" is measured by how much it produces, i.e. good things are equated with constructive things in the philosophy of the language. I imagine leaving this with no explanation resulted in the downvote.
- Response to "Philosophy Challenge #2" - "Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.": "ta rfarfekericii tohu, rfarfekericiis."
- Response to "Daily Derivation #47" - buttermilk: "tcaanfeken"
- Response to "Daily Derivation #53" (start of new rules) - word: "sikartao" and "sikartaofirfake"
- Response to "Daily Derivation #54" - two: "kono" and many uses of it.
