Just started this game and I’m wondering if my game is glitched and if I need to restart. Help please.

I got to the part after the intro level where you start in a bathroom. I looked online and you’re supposed to pick up a key card at the receptionist desk. But in my game there is no card there. Am I missing something? I’m trying to get the protector key to get the Aperture card. I’ve spent some 30 minutes clicking on everything in the receptionist area (and all other rooms for that matter). Is my game glitched? Do I need to start over?
