Is this by design, or a bug? Can the behavior be changed?

How to reproduce:

1. Use an Android phone with a wide angle lens
2. Hit the camera icon in a conversation
3. Hold your camera close to an object, like a coffee mug
4. Observe that the preview is uing the 1x lens
5. Frame your shot perfectly
6. Hold down the "record" button to start recording
7. The phone immediately switches to .5x wide angle, ruining the perfectly framed shot

Like, honestly, I don't mind the auto-selection of what lens to use, but don't switch lenses the second I hit record. That's silly.

I suspect this portion of operation may be more decided by the OS, but, I also suspect Signal could pass some extra options to the API telling it to disable auto lens selection.
