I wanted to give a brief description of my way of thinking (sorry it turned into me rambling and sorry if there are any grammatical mistakes too) so if you're not interested in it just skip to the 5th paragraph.
Hey I'm 20m, I'm not really interested in going to college I know that I can do it if I want to but it just seems like a waste of time, money and above all my peace of mind.
In this day and age there are so many ways to make money without a degree and it doesn't help that I'm an Indian (or you could say asian) because asian people hold a lot of value for a degree. They want that damned degree no matter what so they can be proud of their children and boast to other people (not everyone of course but majority of us) they don't really care what the child wants to do. My father told me he just wants me to be happy But even if he says that it's like it's embedded in his subconscious, his actions says he wants me to get a degree (you know what I mean?)
In the end degree or not reality is, just like knowledge, money is also power. Even If i got no degree but drive a lambo people won't care why? Cause I'm rich that's why?
I've been looking to make the most money without having a degree and these are things I found the most interesting.
1) Selling Insurance 2) Affiliate marketing 3) Dropshipping 4) Starting a Social Media Agency 5) Real estate industry, commercial real estate, becoming a realtor, house hacking 6) Notary signing agent
I know #2 & #3 are very hyped up on social media but it is still interesting
5 is kind of intimidating to me because I have no money and I know there's ways to get involved in it without spending a whole lot of money. Even if I pick something (from the options above) other than real estate I do plan on investing in it later.
I thought I could focus on 2 things but when I started researching on them it was very hard and confusing. And so I'm just going to focus on one thing for 6 months and give it my all. If it's giving results cool but if it's not or if it is but at the expense of my peace of mind I'll drop it and try another one.
If you have any questions please ask away I'll do my best to answer them and if you have any advice I sincerely thank you .
