My dad and I (Chicago, IL) were shooting the sh*t last night and the subject of my college years came up. One thing led to another and we found ourselves talking about how much I hated doing my own laundry in college as it was the first time I was away from home and my parents usually did all of the household's laundry up until that point in time (I lucked out big time on this lol).
He mentioned half-jokingly how it would've been easier for me to just pay someone to do my laundry for me, and I saw this as a big potential market.
Side Hustle Idea (in college town): A monthly pickup/drop-off laundry service for college students. I figured if the kids weren't already willing to shell out their own money on a reasonable subscription for all of their laundry to be cleaned and folded, they would certainly be willing to pursuay their parents to inherit the cost.
Any thoughts on whether this model would be a good or bad idea? TIA for your opinions
