I had been having the "Local branch is ahead of master. Automatic update not possible." message on my SickRage homepage for a while now, googled it, and found you guys. I did a backup of my config in SickRage and then uninstalled it through Windows Control Panel (my file/torrent server is still on Windows 7). I downloaded the SickChill Windows installer from here but when I run it on my file/torrent server and get to "Downloading Dependencies" I get an error "Download failed: A connection with the server could not be established" (screenshot).
I found on this Readme page that it says the installer will grab a 'seed' file, located here, that has the URLs for where to download the dependencies. I can manually copy/paste all four links for the x86/x64 versions of Python/Git into my web browser (Firefox) and download the files to my file/torrent server.
I tried disabling the Windows Firewall temporarily on my file/torrent server but that didn't help.
Also, the SickChill Windows installer works flawlessly (downloads dependencies) on my Windows 10 gaming PC.
My best guess as to my problem is the Mikrotik router I have, running RouterOS v6.30.2. I've had problems with it in the past, trying to use Remote Desktop while away from home, had to figure out how to set up a port forward so it would go to my file/torrent server, even set up a custom port, not the Windows default, 117 or whatever. I'll be honest, that RouterOS webgui is a bit too complicated for me, I got the router for the gigabit ports but should probably go back to something more newbie friendly like the Linksys router with dd-wrt I used years ago.
Any idea what port the SickChill Windows installer would be using to get the dependencies? I can try to setup a port forward to see if that helps. Or any other ideas I could try? Any chance of getting a SickChill Windows installer (.exe) with everything needed rolled into it, instead of having to download stuff from the web?
