You can now set your own user flairs, if it's set up and working properly.
On mobile there should be an edit button on the top right on the list of flairs, tap that, then tap the flair style you want. Should be easy enough from there.
No idea about desktop but it should be similar.
You can also use this post as a test to verify it worked if you wish. I don't mind comment spam for this post.
