My substrate is fruiting, but it dries out quite quickly after misting. Could this be due to too much FAE? Or is my sub just too dry overall? Would it hurt to do a heavy misting?

Some extra information. This is my first grow, I didn't use a liner so yesterday I transferred the entire substrate into a larger fruiting chamber so that the side pins can thrive and I noticed the substrate was quite dry on the bottom. I've had some days where unfortunately I've had days where I've worked a 12 hour shift so I've misted it at about 10am and not again until about 11pm. I've got a few pins on top, tonnes of pins on the sides and edges, and about 5 or 6 that are more grown than the rest, about an inch and a half tall. They look nice and healthy, but the sub looks dry after an hour or two. Would misting every few hours, when I can, hurt the substrate in anyway? Thanks in advance guys
