First time trying p cubensis!

Hi everyone, up until recently the only shroom I had experimented with in small amounts was the wavy cap ( psilocybe cyanescens) as a patch grows near where I live, but last week I had the opportunity to legally acquire some p cubensis.

I decided to have a medium dose, and all in all it was a great trip, , but I couldn’t help but notice some differences between the side effects of the two species, and wanted to know how many of you can relate, and if you have any experienced other differences in side effects.

The first difference is that P cubensis started to kick in almost immediately. I only had to wait about 20 minutes compared to the usual 40-50 I have waited with p cyanescens. I have a very slow metabolism, weed edibles have sometimes taken as much as 3 hours to kick in for me so this was genuinely impressive.

Secondly I noticed that the body load on p cubensis was a lot stronger than with wavy caps. I felt incredibly heavy and weak and tired, and spent most of the trip lying down. I felt exhausted but when I tried going with the flow and falling asleep (as it seemed that this was what my body and the mushrooms genuinely wanted me to do ) I was incapable. I also felt I had the agility and coordination of a slightly drunk person when moving about .

This has not been the case on wavy caps. Yes I have felt weaker and more tired, but not to the point of wanting to curl up and lie down for the entire trip, with a medium dose. I’m usually willing to walk a bit , and occasionally have sit down breaks.
