I think all of us here are experimenting with these compounds because we all want to improve our subjective experience of life.
So with that being said, it is up to us to take the necessary steps to improve the subjective experience we have. And so I wanted to know, how might this be done? It is not simply fun and enjoyment we are seeking, but instead a deep experience of being alive, to be fully enmeshed in the moment.
My question is this, with a little help from ChatGPT I might add;
How can someone cultivate the mindset, skills, and personality traits needed to excel in their work and life in general—not just as a high performer but as someone who genuinely enjoys their role, fosters meaningful connections, and continuously evolves in their craft—while also developing the ability to learn and master new skills effectively, maintaining a sense of joy and passion even through challenges, and avoiding distractions, unproductive habits, or beliefs that could pull them off track? As it seems completely unproductive and useless to mindlessly scroll on social media or get drawn into conspiracy theories. Which, under the influence of psilocybin, could be a very easy path to fall into without realising, I wish to avoid these and instead become more naturally inclined in the other direction.
Which activities should someone undertake whilst on and off doses?
I came up with some ideas over a year ago now but never got the chance to try micro dosing up until now. It’s from my notes in my phone and so it’s not as well articulated as it could be, since it ‘was’ going to be for my eyes only and is in a sense a conversation I am having with myself. But maybe everyone here who reads this might have some cool additions or perspectives or opinions on anything below;
Clean the Algorithm Protocol ideas All of this can be done without spending money, barring a gym membership
Remember that for optimal development, you need a worthy opponent at every opportunity
Every single option here must be preceded by a balance challenge, to encourage neuroplasticity Standing on one leg Moving forward on an imagined tightrope with eyes closed - forward and backwards Etc Also Heat and cold exposure
Maybe start with a video diary of some kind, explaining the current situation and what you hope to gain from this. You get what you aim at
To ensure the results of this experiment are seen, it would be a good idea to record daily insights with journaling
It might also be worth taking a personality test before and documenting the results, then taking it again in a year or so

Also, have I missed anything glaringly obvious? It’s not easy to try and define an entire philosophy or way of being in one post, all I’ve tried to do here is go past concepts and abstractions and actually get to the meat, to the point where the rubber meets the road.
Hopefully this will rouse a good discussion!
TL;DR:
How can we use tools like microdosing, balance exercises, journaling, and self-discipline to deeply enhance life, stay focused, avoid distractions, and grow meaningfully in work, relationships, and skills? Looking for actionable ideas and discussion.
