Diving in Without ANY research
Post Body

I think we’ve all seen too much of this- people buy some kit in a smoke shop or online; then post some sort of SOS type thread in this sub hoping to have people hand feed them the answers.

I do like to learn by experimenting but ffs to dive in with absolutely zero prep or planning is just ignorant and unless the fungi choose to be in your favor, you don’t deserve them imo.

I’m kinda being harsh and I know that- but the frequency at which we see these types of posts are maddening. Does anyone else feel similar?

Maybe time to put a new rule into the sub? Specific questions or even fairly broad/general questions are always welcome but at least tell us that you don’t think your time is more valuable than ours by demonstrating you’ve put SOME effort forth!

I know I can just move along and not answer, but again- I personally feel like this is a lot more common lately and I want to ask other growers if they feel the same way.

I personally spent weeks maybe two months preparing (learning) before my first attempt… but maybe I’m just a stubborn asshole 🤷‍♂️
