Is it a shared experience that tripping gets you to quit alcohol?
Post Body

Before I had my own experiences with shrooms, I was a pretty regular drinker. It was typically once a week I would down a few beers or a few premade cocktails, and I would drink a lot because it was simply the weekend ritual. No alcohol for the weekend? Oh well, but otherwise, good chance I was at the very least getting buzzed, and at worst, downing a 750ml bottle (because I aimed to lose at drinking games) and semi-frequently throwing up by the end of the night.

Fast forward after tripping, and suddenly it’s not as interesting for me. I’ve had the occasional drink here and there, and I still do enjoy the experience, but I nowhere drink as much, nor haven’t felt that “itch” to unwind. Not even the social aspect of drinking with friends seems as appealing.

While I understand shrooms can help people with near any addiction out there, I’m noticing alcohol is a very common denominator. I’m wondering if it’s really effective at specifically targeting drinking habits, or are shrooms users just predisposed to trying all sorts of recreational substances.
