Hello fellow foragers, very much of a beginner at tripping , and am looking for advice. I am a forager, and last November I found a patch of psilocybe cyanescens. They were mature and a few were waterlogged and I didn’t dry them properly as I didn’t have the means to at the time and I was not prepared for finding them . So I just air dried them naturally.
Here is a link to the batch I found for reference

This means that they lost some potency. This is the issue I am having: I know that psilocybe cyanescens is one of the strongest magic mushroom there are, and thus dosing should be done with caution, (especially for beginners) but on the other hand I know that the ones I have are weaker than average given how they were not picked and stored very well.
Which means that determining how many g of the shroom is required to illicit X effects is a bit of a challenge (do I do a small amount because p cyanescens is a strong shroom, or do I do a slightly bigger amount because the shrooms I have are probably very weak). But then potency varies from mushroom to mushroom (especially when grown in the wild) so I don’t want to take too much in case I eat a very strong one…
brings me to the question: how do you foragers dose foraged shrooms, given that not all of them will be picked and dried in their prime like somebody who’s growing them in a controlled environment ? What is your strategy?
I am a beginner (have done this only a handful of times) and I don’t want to end up feeling overwhelmed by the dose and take too much when I don’t feel quite ready yet
