Soooo I'm confused

Okay so, my friend, my girlfriend and I did shrooms last Friday. We both took about 3.5 each. But the issue was that we weren't seeing any visuals, we were happier, and enjoying things more which we summed up to the mushrooms but we didn't have any tripped visuals like we were wanting. Anyone know why? My girlfriend had visuals but we didn't.
