What smell should i expect

First timer here and i wanted to know what the smell of the mycelium should be to tell if its still good. I started to see yellow spots in my incubator jar. Upon study shows that it is normal but my mycelium telling me to get it the fuck in the chamber. I couldn't find a description of the smell except if it smell bad. Whats something that will raise the red flag
