How old is too old? Are my syringes still viable?

We shall see what extremes mushies can go to live. I bought these in 2016 and bags have never been opened. Now, my friend is suffering from an alcohol addiction and asked if I could pick up my proverbial garden spade and start again on a quest to try and heal himself from the inside. They’ve been in the closet, dark and lonely 😩
