I need some advice
Post Body

So I’m starting to notice a detritus worm problem in my shrimp tank I would like to know how you guys deal with this issue I have a sand/gravel mixed substrate that is planted I have a few snails in the tank I vacuume the surface and do regular water changes I don’t have shrimp food but I’ve ordered some but right now I put a couple flakes of fish food or 2-3 freeze dried blood worms to munch on every few days. this tank used to be a fish tank and I never really noticed the worms (I think the fish were eating them) but now I see them everywhere and they vary in size

I would also like to know how you guys keep the baby shrimp from being vacuumed out when cleaning. do you quarantine the berried shrimp until they hatch please don’t criticize I’m new to shrimp keeping and I’m still figuring it out thank you to anyone that can give me any insight advice and help
