Features getting worse.
Post Body

I don’t want to sound whiney on here because ShotCut is free and has proved itself massively useful, especially with adding features over the years I’ve used it. But features that have long been in ShotCut have been getting random downgrades over the years that are extremely frustrating knowing they’d be twice as convenient being left alone. When I first used ShotCut, size and position had slider bars for position on the 2 Axis, as well as the precise number. But at some point the sliders were removed, and they never came back. It’s been extremely tedious to line things up quickly ever since then. They added the dot you can drag on the screen for even more convenience with the sliders, but it’s locked to the center of the item, so if it’s off screen enough or zoomed in enough the purpose is defeated with no substitute. Most recently, I realized I hadn’t updated in a long time when I couldn’t find the new subtitle feature, and now the timeline is all sorts of goofy. The playhead can now only be adjusted by clicking within the non-adjustable Output layer instead of any blank space on the timeline, it will appear on the timeline where you’ve selected sometimes and then revert back to where it was before when you hit play, and the Zoom feature now only operates as if you’re hitting the or - button instead of zipping straight to where you’ve clicked on the slider. I appreciate how convenient ShotCut is, but can we have some more of the already existing conveniences back?
