So what I see from most people on the internet who are 5'8 is that they are an inch away from average height. They are not short at times and also at the same time are....depending on the perception of the people around them. They also don't have problems for shopping clothes as clothes of their size are almost always available, unlike let's say for people who are 5'4 and below.
I am 5'6 from an Asian country and I and people my height have the same problems.
The average in most Asian nations is 5'6-5'8. (Japan, S.Korea, India, Vietnam etc). Hence we are either average or just 1-2 inches below it depending on the country.
We at times tower over some people whereas at other times feel towered over ourselves.
We are sometimes called short, sometimes average.
Once again cloth shopping is hardly an issue.
So yea...if you are in Asia and 5'6(you are basically 5'8 on the western side of the internet).
