Stand dimensions for a 10e
Post Body

Hello all!

I recently picked up a 10e which seems fairly complete but in need of work. I’m no stranger to wood working or tools but this is my first Shopsmith so I’m expecting a bit of a learning curve.

The one thing that’s definitely missing from this old tank is the stand. I feel fairly confident that I purchased this machine from its original but deceased owner and the home made table it was sitting on was full of rot and not worthy of saving so I’m not sure if the 10 e was sold without a stand or why it was a home made stand but I intend to build a bench and was hoping that some the Shopsmith veterans wouldn’t mind helping me out with some basic dimensions.

Mostly I’m concerned about appropriate bench height and stability. I’m on the taller side but I don’t want this thing to be unstable if being used as a drill press.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for the great community.
