I have been lurking for several months, I knew I had a problem, I was just in a really bad place mental health wise and wasnβt ready to face it. Posting today to help hold myself accountable. I have incurred debt that I am working on getting paid off. My problem is every time I pay something off I go and buy something else π€·π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈ.
I keep finding a new thing obsessively purchase over the last two years. First it was clothes, then makeup, then craft items (first to make earrings, then to make shirts), then Christmas gifts (went way overboard), then shoes, now back to clothes.
Anyway, I am trying a low buy February. I will likely still get a few things but I have to get my husbands approval first (he is much better with money). I am also going to return some things I still can, work on selling some of the clothes and shoes I have that I donβt wear, and cataloging my wardrobe so I can track what I wear and what I already own. Hopefully this will help my break my cycle. My trouble is sticking to it though.
I have tried the discord but I just get so overwhelmed by it. I really need like an accountability buddy or something. Like the AA sponsor method but for spending
