I'm exploring the addition of trucking and hauling services to my Shopify store and am curious if anyone has experience building or configuring an app—similar to Appointly—with modifications to create a trucking/hauling quote engine that requires standard inputs.

The concept is to integrate a system that functions like Shopify's native local delivery feature but is tailored for items not purchased from the store. Instead, customers would use the platform to arrange the transportation of items they own from one location to another.

Key Features I'm Considering:

• Allow customers to select a start and end location.
• Provide standardized quotes for common items, such as furniture (e.g., couches) and towed items (e.g., cars on a trailer).

I'm seeking insights or experiences from anyone who has undertaken a similar project. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also open to collaborating with a developer for this project, although I haven't formalized a proposal yet—it's currently in the conceptual stage. My store currently sells both products and services, but any hauling is managed through a custom quote engine, which is time-consuming. I've considered developing an interactive, AI-powered engine to generate quotes but am unsure if that's the optimal solution.
