My mom bought a used, massive bureau and asked me to put in some shelves so she could use it as storage.

Post Body

She didn't care what the inside looked like as long as it was functional, so I just used some 1/2" plywood for the shelves and 3/4" plywood for the back, and added some edge banding with some leftover Mahogany or walnut (not sure which it is) I had laying around.

The shelves are about 40"x15", so I'm not confident the side and back supports are going to be enough to hold as much weight as they probably need to, but my mom's requirements didn't really leave much room for adding additional supports, so imma just roll the dice and see how it works out lol.

I'm new to woodworking, and this is my first carpentry-like project, so I'm sure there's a lot I could have done better. But, alas, this is what I could manage to slap together.
