I used to be a certified chef 10 years ago.. I’ve hit my all time single dad low. This was inedible. It’s time to reboot fellas.
Post Body

It was like overcooked and pink raw at the same time. I’ve completely lost my way.

Part of the problem is: my daughter is super allergic to egg, and that excludes like everything. It’s in pasta, ice cream, fried foods, cake, cookies, 90% of breakfast foods.. cheeses, mayonnaise… meatloaf.. meatballs.. natural flavorings.. there’s little subtle ways around it but.. it’s a tough one.

She is the type of allergic where she can’t even have it baked or denatured in anything.

To add, she is also insufferably picky.

I’ve completely lost my touch with how to make food anymore. In culinary college we got the chef hat with the ridges in it, each ridge signifying different ways you can use an egg to cook. I’m not just lost.

Any dead on what I should try cooking to re ignite my passion and remember all of the knowledge that has been smushed to the back of my brain?

I get the allergen problem, but picky eaters are the fault of undisciplined parents. If she doesn't want to eat something perfectly healthy, let her go to bed hungry
