ds1 ps4 help with workaround for bottomless box glitch

I've beaten ds1 so many times it's crazy.. did that whole ng 6 or 7 stuff.. it just got dumb. In a single dad now without a lot of time and what time I do have I'd like to just mess around offline and have fun but I Need help. I don't have a ps3 or I'd do the bottomless box glitch from my high level character to a brand new character. I only have a ps4.. I read somewhere u could have a friend do a red soapstone with the new character and give them your soul to take on the new character and I was soon confused but so interested. Can someone help me do that... I'd be grateful everyone.
