How do I etch a PCB?

I drew the circuit on a piece of PCB and I am trying to scrape off the non-drawed-on parts with a hobby knife but it keeps slipping and hitting my fingers so now it is also covered with blood and I dunno which part to remove anymore. also I am getting kinda dizzy. should i use a sharper knife or what?
