Misdiagnosed. It was shingles!
Post Body

So a few days ago, I was going through the craziest pain in my leg. I actually was about a week ago. it was like a tingling burning around certain areas of my leg. It was severe enough that I had to go to the hospital. The hospital gave me a CAT scan and told me that I had a lumbar bulging disc. They prescribed prednisone. Well my symptoms have been getting worse and then I noticed a rash started to develop around the areas where I was feeling the tingling before. over the last few days, the rash has gotten more severe. I go to the urgent care and they tell me that I have shingles and that the prednisone that I’ve been taking has been exacerbating the symptoms. Now I’m at home reading up on shingles and learning a bunch about it and I it’s crazy that I’ve been feeling every single symptom of shingles and nobody thought to diagnose me with it. I am very very thankful for the knowledge now that I have shingles the confusion of all the things that were going on with me was driving me mad. I have been crying for the last few days and I really didn’t realize why. Well now I know I have shingles and I’ve been prescribed antiviral medication. I have some gabapentin on hand, as my sister is a nurse, my other sister is actually a doctor as well. My sister came over today and took very good care of me and she clean my house and brought me food and administered the medication that I needed. She gave me exactly what I needed. God bless her. Love you Lua. And I love you, Sophia! That’s my older sister she’s a doctor. Also big shout out to CVS is five minute clinic.
