"The scientific method is an empirical method of acquiring knowledge that has characterized the development of science since at least the 17th century (with notable practitioners in previous centuries). - It involves careful observation, applying rigorous skepticism about what is observed, given that cognitive assumptions can distort how one interprets the observation. - It involves formulating hypotheses, via induction, based on such observations; - experimental and measurement-based testing of deductions drawn from the hypotheses; - and refinement (or elimination) of the hypotheses based on the experimental findings." (Wiki)
We are doing exactly what scientists & inventors do - interacting with the universe in a way to understand it better.
Our hypothesis is basically some variation of "human beings can have real life experiences through their consciousness or awareness in other realities within the same life as their primary reality."
And each one of us probably started with observing someone else talking about having such an experience.
And each one of our shifting attempts is us experimenting and seeing what works to get us there & collecting the data - methods, belief changes, practiced skills, intentions. Basically what works and what doesn't. Think of how many attempts every great invention required.
And then we prove to ourselves, one by one, that it's all possible and the successful attempts give us more information to refine our understanding of how shifting works for the next time.
Science isn't supposed to be some rigid "only the experts know", play by the rules, this is how things are and it can't be otherwise. We are all explorers of our lives.Â
Of course this post doesn't include a lot of nuance, but I was thinking about it & had to write it out. I know in a very serious study every little thing would be recorded (I know very few of us do that) or we'd quibble about the difference between awareness & consciousness definitons for example. (The hypothesis can always be refined.) But we even do a lot of that together because we share our experiences, understanding & even debate about this journey (process) with each other.
That's really freaking cool guys.
