I’m currently reading #16 of the LN and i was heart broken to see Atla die. I was so sad because I loved Atla’s character and really wanted to see her grow from the prodigy she was. It was so sad that she spent everyday (all the way from when she was healed by Naufumi to her death) wanting to spend time with him and be close to him. It was by far the most painful loss as a reader. Anyway, I really liked how the author portrayed Naufumi’s sudden change in understanding of everyone’s feelings. He feels like he’s drinking from a fire hose right now and I totally get that. I really like how this is going so far and can’t wait to read the next 200 pages of this volume.
