So, my good people. Mr. Fookus here, and I was wondering. Among the people here who do suspensions on a regular basis, how do you prefer to do your uplines? I’ve attatchment to exapmles of how I like to do them for different scenarios. The first is the way I like to do them for exhibition and photoshoots. A fairly traditional way where I make a secondary bight to distribute wear from friction, as to not saw my ropes in half or damage the middle of my rope. Second example is what I would use in an every day context, for practice or regular tying, where I tie a ring (heavy duty, used for boat rigging) on the suspension point, run my tails through my original bight as a fail safe, and use the ring as I would use my secondary bights in the other method. This minimizes rope wear and is good for practice, but I like the look of the first method waaay more.
How do you like to do it? ✌️
