These are the holy grails of jute and professional nawashi more or less primarily use these ropes. For those of you with the relevant experience, which of these do you prefer and why? Make sure to say whether you're a top, bottom, or switch.
I'm a top-leaning switch. I've only tried Ogawa, but I absolutely love it. Thanks to its loose twist, it feels fast and lies flat (it "bites" less into the skin and bands stay put). It's the best rope I've tied/been tied with.
For reference, Kinbaku Today did a blind "tasting" of these ropes (along with a few others). Amatsunawa ranked 1st, Nawaya 2nd, and Ogawa 4th. I take the Ogawa ranking with a grain of salt because they only come untreated and so the conditioning could've been poor. In their test, the Amatsunawa and Nawaya came already conditioned. I'd be curious to see whether you agree with the ranking as well as your opinions comparing the various properties of each kind of rope.
