Hi everyone! So I used the tool on the side of the subreddit to look up breeders of shibas in this area but I am unsure how to proceed. I don't have any frame of reference for which breeders are actually reliable. A lot will say they are part of the AKC but when I did some Google searches, some people claimed the breeders we're less than desirable and not necessarily using good practices.
Has anyone who is from NJ or the general tri-state area had any experience purchasing a Shiba? What breeders did you use and how can you truly find a reliable breeder?
I just want to make sure I support a proper breeder. A lot make their websites look like it has all the right info but I don't fully know.
